Meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine was held on current tax issues

Current issues of corporate taxation under the martial law were discussed today during meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (ACC).

Participants considered individual issues of business activity, in particular, state of the VAT refunds to enterprises of the agro-industrial complex, suggested changes to Resolution 1165 regarding registration of tax invoices/adjustment calculations in the Unified Register of Tax Invoices, taxation peculiarities of individuals. Specifically, it was about avoiding double taxation of citizens who were forced to leave Ukraine.

Non-application of fines was also raised when it is impossible for payers to carry out activities due to the lack of electricity supply and Internet connection. According to acting Deputy Chairman of the State TaxService Yevheniy Sokur, the Service provided an explanation of how enterprises can conduct settlement operations offline. It was also stated that circumstances of power outages will be taken into account by tax authorities during audits according to Sub-paragraph 112.8.9 Paragraph 112.8 Article 112 of the Tax Code of Ukraine.

In addition, the ACC representatives made a number of suggestions regarding the state support for telecommunication enterprises during the martial law.

Participants of the meeting agreed on further work on solving problematic business issues.
