Budget received almost 160.7 billion UAH of the personal income tax in January – March 2026. This is 18.1% more than in the same period in 2025 (more than 136.1 billion UAH). Traditionally, the capital provides the biggest amount of revenues – 38.3 billion UAH.
Among the regions, significant indicators are demonstrated by:
- Dnipropetrovsk region – 15.8 billion UAH,
- Lviv region – 11 billion UAH,
- Kyiv region – 9.9 billion UAH.
Reminder: Declaration campaign – 2026 is ongoing.
If a person received income during the past year from which taxes were not paid or were not paid in full, such person must submit property status and income declaration.
Such income includes:
- income from which tax was not withheld at the time of payment, but which is not exempted from taxation;
- income from persons who are not tax agents (for example, from other citizens);
- foreign income;
- income from entrepreneurial activity (except for individuals-entrepreneurs on a simplified system);
- income from independent professional activities (lawyers, notaries, auditors, etc.);
- other income in cases provided for by the Tax Code of Ukraine.
Also, the declaration is submitted by:
- foreigners who, as of 2025, have acquired status of the tax resident of Ukraine – they declare both income from Ukraine and foreign income;
- citizens – residents who leave abroad for permanent residence – not later than 60 calendar days before departure.
Declaration campaign lasts until May 1, 2026. To receive tax rebate, the declaration must be submitted by December 31.
