Electronic keys from the State Tax Service: more than 238 thousand certificates were issued in the first quarter

During the first quarter of this year, more than 86 thousand taxpayers used services of the Qualified Provider of Electronic Trust Services of the State Tax Service. They received 238.3 thousand qualified public key certificates free of charge.

Most users are ordinary citizens who value their time and convenience of the online services.

- Individuals: 46.2 thousand citizens received 94.6 thousand certificates.

- Legal entities: 39.9 thousand organizations received 143.8 thousand certificates for reporting, concluding agreements and other transactions.

Re-generating service of certificates by the electronic request is also popular. It was used by 36.4 thousand taxpayers, which allowed to automatically generate almost 115 thousand new certificates without a visit to the Tax Service.

In total, since the service’s launch, the State Tax Service has already issued more than 15.7 million electronic certificates.

If you do not yet have electronic signature or the previous one has expired, it is possible to get it in four simple steps:

1. Read rules and conditions of service provision: link the website https://ca.tax.gov.ua in section "Obtaining qualified electronic trust services"

2. Prepare documents: list is on the website.

3. Visit the registration point: don't forget original documents. If you have passport in "Diia" (version 2.0+), it is possible to identify yourself via a smartphone using the "Sharing" function.

4. Take storage device: carry a secure device for information medium, removable flash drive, etc. to record the key.

If you already have a key that is about to expire, it is possible to renew it remotely in a few minutes.

Terms and conditions for the online renewal:

- Your registration data (full name, address, etc.) have not changed.

- Current key is still active (has not expired).

- You remember password to it.

Important: Remote update is not available for certificates generated using international RSA or ECDSA algorithms or for which the private key is stored in the "Cloud storage" of the Qualified Provider of Electronic Trust Services of the State Tax Service.
