Lesya Karnaukh: 93.9 billion UAH of taxes and levies was received by general fund of the state budget in April

General fund of the state budget received 93.9 billion UAH of taxes and levies, controlled by the State Tax Service, in April. The plan is fulfilled at 104.2%. This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on the Facebook page.        

“Despite all the challenges, we managed to stabilize situation with budget revenues for the first 4 months of the year. Revenues amount is 435.8 billion UAH. The plan is fulfilled at 101.4%. I am grateful to every taxpayer for filling the budget and contributing to financial stability of the country. In the war times, every UAH is not just a number. This is a bulletproof vest, drone, restored school, hospital. This is funding for defense, social payments and salaries” – she stated.

Revenues for April exceeded the last year’s figure by 10.6 billion UAH (+12.7%).

April figures:   

- personal income tax remains basic source of budget revenues – 35.9 billion UAH was received;

- the plan was also exceeded by receipt of rental payments – 4.7 billion UAH was received;

 - corporate income tax – 5.9 billion UAH was received; 

- VAT refunding indicator remains stable – 17.6 billion UAH was refunded in April.

Military risks, destruction of production facilities and disruption of logistics chains, unfortunately, negatively affect performance of other revenue indicators. We particularly talk about the VAT and excise revenues.

“Today, we are actively working to improve tax administration quality. The focus is on high-quality data and analytics, risk forecasting and constant dialogue with the taxpayers. Another important tool is improving interaction with communities and helping to fill local budgets. This approach allows us to fill the budget stably together with the taxpayers” – acting Head of the State Tax Service added.
