Tax number via the "e-Consul" and payer E-card – new digital opportunities for Ukrainians in Ukraine and abroad

Two more electronic services have been launched today, making tax services modern, digital and more convenient.

New opportunities for obtaining registration number of the taxpayer account card through the "e-Consul" system and in the mobile application "Diia" were presented during summit of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. This was announced by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh.

Implementation of projects became possible due to the joint work of the State Tax Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and international partners.

Service of issuing registration number for the taxpayer account card for children under 18 years of age through the "e-Consul" system, every citizen of Ukraine who is abroad can receive the Taxpayer card in the electronic form.

Previously, to obtain document certifying registration in the State Register of Individuals – Taxpayers abroad, citizens would apply to foreign diplomatic institutions. Through them, they would send letters with copies of documents to the State Tax Service or temporarily return to Ukraine to personally apply to the Taxpayer Service Center. Receiving the card took from 2 to 4 weeks.

From now on, it is possible to submit electronic application and scans of documents through the “e-Consul” system or personally apply to the foreign diplomatic institution.

According to the acting Head of the State Tax Service, process of issuing the Taxpayer card will be reduced by 10 times. Everyone will be able to receive the card within 1-3 days.

"Taxpayer card through the “e-Consul” system is optimization of the taxpayers’ time and savings on logistics, which were previously necessary to obtain this service. Finished Taxpayer card can be easily checked in the application “Diia”" – Lesya Karnaukh stated.

Also, starting today, thanks to the e-Taxpayer card service, it is possible to issue tax number for a child and order electronic taxpayer card online in the application “Diia” – without visiting the Tax Service.

"Issuing registration number for the taxpayer registration card is the most popular administrative service among the taxpayers. Last year, the State Tax Service issued more than 600 thousand registration numbers for the taxpayers registration cards, 100 thousand of which were issued through the payer’s Electronic cabinet. Number of electronic applications for the taxpayer registration card is growing every year" – Lesya Karnaukh emphasized.

It is possible to submit application in just a few minutes, and the finished documents will be available directly on your smartphone. However, the one can still apply for the card in person at the State Tax Service’s bodies or apply for it in the Electronic cabinet. Documents have the same legal force.
