299 billion UAH of income was declared by citizens of Ukraine for 2025. In total, almost 176 thousand of property status and income declarations were submitted. This is 103% compared to last year's campaign. This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on the Facebook page.
The most active, compared to the last year, were residents of the following regions:
- Rivne region (+10%);
- Mykolaiv region (+8%);
- Volyn region (+7%);
- Odesa region (+6%);
- Kyiv city (+6%).
According to the declaration results, citizens independently determined the following to be paid:
- 5.7 billion UAH of the personal income tax;
- 2.5 billion UAH of the military levy.
"Those who received foreign income actively participated in the campaign. In total, 12.7 thousand taxpayers declared such income. By the way, compared to the last year, their number increased by 3.4 thousand people. Amount of declared foreign income is 20.7 billion UAH" – stated acting Head of the State Tax Service.
Based on the results of declaring foreign income, citizens independently determined the following to be paid:
- 2.4 billion UAH of the personal income tax;
- 1.0 billion UAH of the military levy.
"State Tax Service is actively working on qualitative changes in culture of voluntary tax payment in Ukraine. We also improve services for this – on the eve with the Ministry of Digital Transformation launched submission of declarations and obtaining tax rebate in Diia. We are grateful to every taxpayer who, despite all the challenges, chooses to work honestly and transparently. And the most importantly, pay taxes responsibly. As it is about our ability to ensure the country's defense capability, support social programs, pay salaries and pensions. It is about joint participation in ensuring that the country survives" – Lesya Karnaukh emphasized.
Reminder – certain tax obligations must be paid by July 31st inclusively.
Payment of personal income tax and military levy on declared income is important for financial stability of the country.
Personal income tax forms revenue part of budgets of various levels, particularly local budgets, which finance social programs, education, medicine and community development.
Military levy is directed to support security and defense sector, providing it with necessary resources.
