State Tax Service at the Career Festival: helping veterans run business and find jobs

At the Career Festival, which lasts from May 21 to 24 at the Exhibition of National Economic Achievements, the State Tax Service of Ukraine presented service of tax support for veteran entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for defenders. Deputy Head of the State Tax Service for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization Igor Panchenko told visitors about the services to support veteran business.   

State Tax Service’s site place operates at location of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and Ukrainian Veterans Fund.

Here, specialists from the Kyiv Tax Consultant Office help veterans and their family members understand business registration, choice of taxation system, reporting, use of electronic services and peculiarities of participation in the grant programs for veteran business.  

State Tax Service, during the festival, also presents vacancies in its departments.

“Today, 150 war veterans and 8 veterans are already working in the Service’s bodies. In territorial bodies of the State Tax Service, we have created 32 positions of moderators of the Tax Consultant Offices and Taxpayer Service Centers, to which we invite veterans. Veteran taxpayers are becoming important link in communication with veteran taxpayers, as they help build more trusting and effective interaction” – Igor Panchenko said.

In addition to consultations, the Service develops support system for veteran business through trainings, online seminars and “in-place” training.

“Green corridor” principle also applies to veterans in the State Tax Service: priority entry into the electronic queue, priority service at the Taxpayer Service Centers and Tax Consultant Offices, separate telephone line in the Contact Center, and special thematic block in the State Tax Service’s chatbot.
