Interaction between the Tax Service and business, high-quality tax services, clear control and tax culture as the partnership basis were discussed during the meeting of acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh with member companies of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Parties discussed in detail procedures for tax audits and administrative appeals of their results.
As Lesya Karnaukh noted, business wants deeper consideration of specifics of their activities and careful consideration of objections to acts.
“State Tax Service is working on training employees in the unified approaches to assessing violation facts and quality control of documents confirming them. Of course, we are restructuring the system from control for the sake of control to risk-oriented. We are also developing tax mediation procedure as alternative to resolving disputes. We also expect greater openness and cooperation from business during tax audits” – outlined acting Head of the State Tax Service.
According to Lesya Karnaukh, frequent question at meetings with business communities is counteraction against shadow economy. Enterprises strive for equal conditions in the market. Therefore, the State Tax Service actively identifies and counteracts schemes, closely cooperates in this direction with the Economic Security Bureau. The concept of business fragmentation requires unification of approaches. And the State Tax Service has already submitted its suggestions for legislative regulation.
Significant attention during the conversation was paid to the international taxation and transfer pricing, particularly automatic exchange of tax information.
Lesya Karnaukh expressed gratitude to business with foreign capital for believing in Ukraine and filling the budget.
“Investments and support for economic stability of our state during the war are extremely important” – noted acting Head of the State Tax Service.
