National Barrier-free Week is ongoing in Ukraine. We keep telling how the State Tax Service of Ukraine continues to implement principles of accessibility, inclusion and convenience in providing services to citizens. The focus is on equal access to administrative services, digital services and information regardless of age, health status or life circumstances.
Barrier-free is not only about physical accessibility of premises, but also about open communication, understandable services and respect for the needs of each taxpayer.
Key areas of work include:
- improving electronic services for convenient services;
- adapting information materials for people with visual and hearing impairments;
- ensuring comfortable access to the Taxpayer Service Centers;
- increasing level of digital literacy and advisory support for citizens.
Special attention is paid to development of remote services that allow to receive necessary services without visiting institutions. This helps save time and makes interaction with the Tax Service more comfortable and accessible.
As a part of the Barrier-free Week, the State Tax Service’s bodies are holding information events and internal training for employees on the inclusive communication principles.
Creating barrier-free environment is a shared responsibility of the state and society. That is why the Service will continue to work to ensure that every citizen has equal access to services and opportunities.
