More than 77 billion UAH for Ukraine's defense: military levy revenues increased by a quarter

Payers transferred 77.4 billion UAH of military levy revenues to the budget during January – May of this year. This figure is 25.5% higher than results of the same period last year. Then levy amount amounted to 61.6 billion UAH.

The biggest financial contribution among the regions of Ukraine was provided by:

- Kyiv city – 25.6 billion UAH;

- Dnipropetrovsk region –8.3 billion UAH;

- Lviv region – 6.2 billion UAH;

- Kharkiv region – 4.9 billion UAH.

Every UAH from this levy is a direct investment in the country's defense capability, provision of our militaries, and stability of the state.

It should be reminded that self-employed individuals who have been mobilized or signed a contract for military service are exempted from paying military levy for a period of service.

Exemption is applied automatically based on data from the Unified state register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists (dates of mobilization, conclusion of a contract, demobilization) from the first day of month of mobilization or conclusion of a contract, but not earlier than February 24, 2022.
