Processing industry is the leader in tax payments: 17.9% of all revenues to the consolidated budget were provided in 5 months

According to results of January – May 2026, the biggest contribution to the budget was made by the processing industry enterprises. They provided 17.9% of all tax revenues to the consolidated budget.

This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service, Lesya Karnaukh.

“The whole and retail sales; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles accounted for 16.3% of all tax revenues. Share of public administration and defense; obligatory social insurance is 11.9%, and financial and insurance activities – 10.5%” – she added.

Acting Head of the State Tax Service noted that taxes are not only about the budget. They are about what is important for each of us. About salaries, pensions, social programs. Behind each figure are enterprises and business entities that work, despite all the challenges.

Compared to the same period in 2025, the same four sectors showed the biggest increase in paid taxes:

- processing industry +25.8 billion UAH (+17.3%);

- financial and insurance activities +24.9 billion UAH (+32.2%);

- public administration and defense, obligatory social insurance +17.1 billion UAH (+17.4%);

- whole and retail sales, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles +14.4 billion UAH (+9.9%).

“I am grateful to every taxpayer for their responsibility and significant contribution to financial capacity of the state. Every UAH is more opportunities for the state to support the army, finance social programs and ensure operation of critically important services for people. And our task is to create conditions in which business will work easier” – Lesya Karnaukh emphasized.
