During the first half of 2026, large taxpayers included in the Register of large taxpayers for 2026 transferred 579.6 billion UAH of taxes, levies and other payments to the Consolidated budget of Ukraine. This is 48.8% of all tax revenues to the country’s budget.
This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service, Lesya Karnaukh.
There are things on which the country’s stability depends no less than on the ability to maintain defense. Proper payment of taxes is something without which the country will also not survive.
“Almost every second UAH of taxes that today comes to the budget of Ukraine is a contribution from the big business” – she stated.
Compared to the same period in 2025, revenues from the large taxpayers increased by 40.1 billion UAH or 7.4%.
According to results of January – June 2026, the biggest increase in revenues came from the:
- corporate profit tax – by 19.5 billion UAH (+14.6% compared to the corresponding figure last year);
- personal income tax and levy – by 13.3 billion UAH (+16%);
- value added tax – by 9.9 billion UAH (+7.1%);
- excise tax on excisable goods produced in Ukraine – by 8.6 billion UAH (+15.1%);
- rent for the subsoil use of national importance – by 7.1 billion UAH (+35.2%).
The biggest increase in tax payments was demonstrated by enterprises in the following industries:
- electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply – +15.9 billion UAH (+30.9%);
- financial and insurance activities – +15.1 billion UAH (+13.5%);
- processing industry – +11.3 billion UAH (+9.5%).
“Today, every UAH of taxes has a special meaning for the country. The fact that big business, even in the wartime, works, develops and increases tax payments speaks of its responsibility and faith in the future of Ukraine. Task of the State Tax Service is to be close to the taxpayers: to help find solutions, simplify interaction and build relationships based on trust and partnership. This is how we can achieve results together” – Lesya Karnaukh added.
