Law enforcement officers detained two employees of Tax Service in Sumy region

Today in Sumy, the State Bureau of Investigation and the Prosecutor's Office detained two employees of Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Sumy region. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing in the premise. State Tax Service fully supports them in their conduct.

According to the law enforcement officers, employees of the Sumy region’s Tax Service were caught while receiving funds from individual-entrepreneur for not applying fines based on the audit results closing the enterprise. 

Exposure was carried out with assistance of the Corruption Prevention and Detection Department of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

State Tax Service of Ukraine adheres to the principle of zero tolerance for any corruption manifestations and other legislative violations. 

At the same time, it should be emphasized that no person can be considered guilty of any crime until the guilt is proven according to procedure established by the law and confirmed by the court verdict of conviction.
