Qualified provider of electronic trust services of the State Tax Service is switching to use of new national standard of cryptographic protection - State Standard of Ukraine 7564:2014 "Kupin".
We answer common questions from users about how to proceed from August 26, 2026 with already received qualified electronic signatures and whether it will be possible to obtain new one using the "Kupin" standard.
Will qualified electronic signature obtained earlier be valid?
Yes. Qualified public key certificates generated under the previous standard will remain valid until their expiration date.
Therefore, it is not necessary to change qualified electronic signature ahead of the time or obtain new certificates just because of transition to the "Kupin" standard. State Tax Service's information and communication systems will simultaneously support both standards.
However, for correct operation of the software and signing of electronic documents, there is advise for users of the qualified provider of electronic trust services of the State Tax Service download and add new technological certificates to the "certificate file storage". Will it be possible to obtain qualified electronic signature according to the new "Kupin" standard?
Yes. Qualified provider of electronic trust services of the State Tax Service is making planned transition to the State Standard of Ukraine 7564:2014 “Information technologies. Cryptographic protection of information. Hashing function” (“Kupin”).
It is possible to obtain new qualified electronic signature according to the "Kupin" standard from Qualified provider of electronic trust services of the State Tax Service from August 26, 2026. Procedure for obtaining and online updating does not change. Transition to the new standard will ensure smooth operation of electronic services and their correct interaction with other information resources.
