State Tax Service launches “Investor’s Tax guide”: step-by-step guide for business

State Tax Service of Ukraine has released a practical guide for domestic and foreign investors who are already operating or just planning to launch a business in Ukraine.

The “Investor’s Tax guide” has collected key information about Ukrainian tax system – from the first registration steps to the use of digital services, tax incentives and mechanisms for protecting the payer’s rights.

Material is designed so that the investor can quickly navigate the basic rules: what taxes are in force in the state, who pays them and in what terms, as well as how to effectively build interaction with the State Tax Service.

Structurally, the guide is divided into 8 practical blocks.

First, there is introductory block, which reveals role of the State Tax Service as the main point of contact for business, and also describes national network of bodies, service points, digital tools and consultation channels that ensure interaction with taxpayers throughout the country.

The next section is a detailed overview of the tax system of Ukraine. It contains comprehensive information on all key taxes: income tax, VAT, personal income tax, single contribution, military levy, excise tax, environmental and land taxes. For each of them, rates, tax bases, reporting deadlines and certain nuances for non-residents are clearly described.

The guide then explains step-by-step procedures for registering and registering foreign legal entities or separate units before they start operating, and also shows how to submit reports completely remotely, conduct official correspondence and what communication channels are available with the State Tax Service.

Particular emphasis is placed on available tax benefits, special conditions for industrial parks and application of international contracts on the avoidance of double taxation.
