Tax payment leaders: processing and trade enterprises

Leaders in paying taxes, levies and payments to the Consolidated budget of Ukraine in January – August 2026 remain business entities of the processing industry, whole and retail sales, public administration and defense, as well as financial and insurance activities.

The biggest share in the total payment volume was provided by the processing industry, namely 17.9%. Compared to January – August 2025, payments from business entities of this industry increased by 44.8 billion UAH or 18.2%.

Share of the whole and retail sales, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles was 16.3%. Payment increased by 31.6 billion UAH or 13.5%.

Public administration and defense, obligatory social insurance provided 11.9% of the total payment. The increase is of 30.7 billion UAH or 18.9%.

Financial and insurance activities accounted for 10.8%. Payments in this area increased by 35.7 billion UAH or 25.5%.

In conditions of the full-scale war, timely payment of taxes is of particular importance. After all, it is a financial resource for the state and communities to fulfill their tasks, particularly financing defense, social programs, critical services and supporting economy.
