"When business saves lives, the state must lend a shoulder": how the Tax Consultant Office supports production of the mine-resistant footwear

Until February 2022, Kharkiv entrepreneur Ihor Yefymenko was developing car services. Usual rhythm of life, production plans, expansion of the client base, all this was crossed out in an instant by a full-scale war.

Real blow for Ihor was injury of a loved one: his relative was blown up by the enemy mine. Then, Kharkiv resident made a promise to himself: to direct all his production and engineering potential to preserve lives and health of Ukrainians.

This is how unique mine-resistant protective footwear of our own design was born. Due to its special shape and damper system, it reduces shock wave from a mine explosion many times over, saving the feet of sappers, rescuers and utility workers who daily clear their native land of explosive remnants.

Today, this is the only production of the mine-resistant boots of this type in Ukraine. Moreover, some of the jobs at the enterprise are occupied by veterans who return to civilian life after the front and have stable jobs.

State support programs also help develop such production. In particular, Ihor Yefymenko received a state grant, funds of which he directed to the purchase of some of the special equipment necessary for production of the anti-mine footwear.

Purchase of special materials, interaction with new suppliers, contractors and counterparties, administration nuances, all this requires maximum financial and legal transparency. Enterprise had no right to risks and accounting department needed quick, accurate and legally verified answers.  

Ihor Yefymenko is convinced: business and government should hear each other. And with opening of the Tax Consultant Office, this communication has gained a new level of speed and convenience.
