“Adopted Laws on the RCO and “cashback” do not change the criteria for applying a simplified tax system” – stated the Chairman of the State tax service of Ukraine Serhii Verlanov during a meeting with entrepreneurs who demanded to veto adopted by the Parliament Laws №.1053-1 and №.1073 regarding the unshadowing of transaction payments and services near the President’s Office.
He emphasized that this fundamental change is aimed at improving these criteria – starting from the 1st of January, 2021 the marginal income of Group II of the single tax payers will be increased - the bar rises from 1.5 million to 2.5 million UAH. Part of entrepreneurs who are currently working in Group III will switch to Group II, which means a tax reduction.
According to him, the introduction of software registrars for calculated operations (RCO) will not be applied to individuals and individuals-entrepreneurs of taxation Group I. For other groups, the RCO programs will be free of charge and it is already available to download the application from the web site of the State tax service.
“The RCO will be on a smartphone. It should not be bought. This is fixed at the legislative level!” – emphasized the Chairman of the State tax service.
He also denied the statement about the lack of buyer’s responsibility for incorrect information about violations during the calculated operation. Any claimant reporting about such violations must identify himself or herself through his/her own E-cabinet of the taxpayer’s. That is, such buyer actually agrees that the tax service will check not only the lawfulness of the seller’s actions against him, but, first of all, to evaluate the authenticity of the documents attached to the complaint.
“This minimizes the risk of possible manipulation with fake or deliberate distortion. Any compensation is possible only after the review and collection of sanctions.” – underlined Serhii Verlanov.
In conclusion, the STS Chairman assured that entrepreneurs would have enough time to familiarize themselves with the new rules, choose a convenient way to apply the RCO and to test it, since for most of them the changes will become valid starting from the 1st of January, 2021.
