The STS has accrued 99.185 million UAH of sanctions regarding the facts of illicit turnover of fuel from December 13, 2019 to January 8, 2020. Particularly, sanctions totaling 3 million UAH were accrued regarding 6 facts of the wholesale of fuel without a license. Also, sanctions totaling 11.75 million UAH were accrued regarding 51 case of the retail sale of fuel without relevant documents. Sanctions totaling 1 million UAH were accrued to the breaker of law regarding the unlicensed production of fuel.
25 cases of unaccounted fuel were detected due to the coordinated work of the STS employees. Sanctions totaling 4.634 million UAH were accrued to the breakers of law regarding these cases. Fines totaling 4.891 million UAH were charged for the absence of registration of the excise invoices / calculation adjustments to the excise invoices in the Unified Register. In total, the number of 8 violations was detected during the specified period. Also there were 2 detected facts regarding the sale of fuel in the excess of volume that required replenishment of the limit. Sanctions in the amount of 71.711 UAH were accrued to the breakers of law.
“We will not allow peaceful living for those who work illegally in the “gray” and “black” markets. Illegal fuel market should be liquidated. Jointly with the law enforcement, other controlling and local authorities we will continue to detect and terminate the activity of illegal gas stations. It is not only about the interests of the budget and protection of competition, but also about the security of citizens, which illegal business cannot guarantee” – Chairman of the Tax Service Serhii Verlanov commented the results of the STS work on detecting and termination of illicit turnover of fuel.
The State Fiscal Service reported that the tax police has detected and terminated 264 illegal fuel stations / gas stations as a result of proceeded measures conducted over the period of December 13, 2019 and January 3, 2020. More than 3.5 thousand tons of fuel and lubricants totaling more than 63 million UAH and equipment of illegal fuel stations / gas stations with a total estimated cost of more than 57 million UAH have been seized.
Illegal fuel market is one of the urgent problems in the focus of the Government’s work. It was also discussed by the representatives of Ukrainian gas station networks at a meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi at the end of 2019. The Prime Minister Oleksii Honcharuk gave an instruction to liquidate illegal gas stations.
