Only the IBAN international bank accounts are in effect from today

Starting from 13.01.2020 only the IBAN bank accounts are applicable in Ukraine.

Opening of accounts according to the new standard has started since 05.08.2019. Right from that day all banks began to open new accounts to customers according to the new standard and to change the existing accounts in accordance with the requirements of this standard.

The State Tax Service of Ukraine has switched to the international IBAN standards from 01.10.2019. Such transition was carried out without failing to fill in the state and local budgets.

It should be reminded that in order to ensure full implementation of the budget programs, the National Bank decided to extend the possibility of filling in a couple of details in the documents for transfer of funds until 12.01.2020.

According to the IBAN standards, the bank account number will consist of 29 characters, including: code of Ukraine, check category, bank’s code and account itself.

The taxpayers can find information about the billing requisites for taxes, fees, single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance and other payments to the budget by administrative and territorial units of Ukraine on the STS web portal in section “Budget Accounts” by the link: https://tax.gov.ua/byudjetni-rahunki/.

In addition, account requisites can be obtained from the STS controlling body at the place of registration or place of business activity.
