Contact Center of the State Tax Service provided answers to 309.4 thousand of the taxpayers’ questions during January – April 2020

Contact Center of the State Tax Service provided answers to 309.4 thousand questions from individuals and legal entities during January – April 2020. Of the total number of answers, 299.7 thousand was provided by the telephone, 8.4 thousand – by the e-mail and fax and 1.3 thousand – using the answering machine.
Most often, the taxpayers applied with questions regarding the value added tax, single social contribution to compulsory state social insurance, personal income tax, single tax for individuals – entrepreneurs, as well regarding the taxpayer’s rights and obligations.
To avoid ambiguous interpretation of the legislative provisions, all answers are provided using the Knowledge Base – an automated database of unified answers to questions from individuals and legal entities. Thus, as of the 1st of May 2020, the Knowledge Base contains 10.4 thousand unified questions and answers.
The Knowledge Base is constantly updated and kept up to date. According to legislative changes, the validity of 346 questions and answers was limited and 444 were amended during January-April 2020.
For the convenience of business entities and citizens, the Knowledge Base is posted on the official web portal of the State Tax Service in Section “Questions and answers from the Knowledge Base” of the Public Information and Reference Resource (ZIR). Therefore, the portal’s visitors can find answers to questions that interest them at any convenient time. This service was used by more than 1 million customers during 4 months of 2020.
Please note that ZIR has a function that allows taxpayers to register in Section “Recent changes in tax legislation” of the Tax Code and receive free of charge on their own e-mail information about the latest legislative changes in legislation, the control of which is entrusted to the STS.
In addition, the STS launched chats in “ZIR” and in messengers – Viber and Telegram, where the taxpayers can also get answers to their questions.
