Stat Tax Service formed territorial bodies as its separate subdivisions

State Tax Service of Ukraine formed territorial bodies as its separate subdivisions. Relevant Order was signed by Chairman of the State Tax Service Oleksiy Lyubchenko and approved by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko.

“Ensuring functioning of the State Tax Service as a single legal entity is one of priority tasks identified for the STS by a number of Government decisions and a structural beacon of the Memorandum on Economic and Financial Policy with the IMF. Therefore, the formation of territorial bodies on the new principle is an important step in fulfilling this task” – stated Chairman of the STS Oleksiy Lyubchenko.

Further the State Tax Service will function as a single legal entity, consisting of the central apparatus and territorial bodies formed as its separate units (without the status of legal entities).

Such changes will help strengthen institutional capacity of the STS, avoid duplication of functions and procedures, ensure openness and transparency, minimize corruption and improve provision of services to the taxpayers.

The final steps to ensure functioning of the STS as a single legal entity will be implemented by the end of year.

It should be reminded that according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine as of 08.11.2019 № 837 “On urgent measures to reform and strengthen the state” the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a Resolution as of September 30, according to which territorial bodies of the State Tax Service will cease to exist as legal entities.
