Tax specialists exposed misappropriation of funds totaling more than 15 million UAH

Tax specialists using materials from the Security Service of Ukraine in Zhytomyr region conducted analytical research which resulted in exposing the misappropriation of funds of a state enterprise.

It was detected that during 2018 – 2020, officials of one enterprise of extractive industry in Zhytomyr region of the state ownership, based on the results of tender procurement purchased equipment, chemical compounds and services for the lease of special equipment from private enterprises. Herewith, the cost of products was overestimated almost twice – by more than 15 million UAH.

Legalization of funds received on accounts of private enterprises due to overstatement of cost of the sales products and services to the state – owned enterprise was carried out by accrual and payment of dividends to the founders.

Based on the specified materials, criminal proceeding under Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was entered to the Unified register of pre-trial investigations. Investigative actions are ongoing.
