Artificial VAT tax credit scheme totaling more than 11 million UAH was exposed

Tax specialists of Zhytomyr region, based on the research results of operations of one regional industrial enterprise, exposed intentional evasion of the value added tax payment totaling more than 11 million UAH.

Specialists of the Anti-money laundering department of Main Directorate of the STS in Zhytomyr region found out that the specified enterprise executed non-commodity operations for the purchase of goods through a chain of “related” companies and companies with fictitiousness signs that are involved in criminal proceedings.

Based on the specified materials, the Investigative department of the SFS in Zhytomyr region registered criminal proceeding under Part 3 Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding officials of the enterprise.
