Tax debt totaling 1.2 billion UAH was written off to 3.7 million taxpayers

On 21.12.2020, the State Tax Service of Ukraine carried out in automatic mode the writing off taxpayers’ tax debt which was accounted for as of 01.11.2020 and remained unpaid as of the date of writing-off.

The main condition for writing-off was presence of the taxpayer’s tax debt, total amount of which for all taxes and fees did not exceed 3060.00 UAH. According to operative data of information and telecommunication system of tax authorities, in fact such tax debt totaling 1.187.4 million UAH was actually written off to 3 million 656 thousand taxpayers. 

This tax debt was written off in compliance with requirements of Paragraph 2⁴ Sub-section 10 Section XX of the Tax Code of Ukraine, introduced by the Law of Ukraine as of 04.12.2020 № 1072-IX “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Other Laws of Ukraine on Social Support of Taxpayers for the Period of Restrictive Anti-Epidemic Measures Introduced to Prevent the Spread of Acute Respiratory Disease COVID-19 Caused by SARS-CoV-2 in Ukraine”.
