Oleksiy Lyubchenko: Success of STS reforming is determined by the amount of revenues

The best evidence of success of STS reforming is indicators of budget revenues. Chairman of the State Tax Service Oleksiy Lyubchenko commented on the progress of reforms at the State Tax Service of Ukraine during a meeting with experts from the International Monetary Fund mission.

Meeting was held online with participation of the Chief Economist of the IMF Department of Budget Affairs Enrico Aava, external experts Dave Hartnett and Tiina Tamm.

According to Oleksiy Lyubchenko, in January 2021 payments to the budget controlled by the STS will be 1.5 times higher than in the corresponding period 2020. Specifically, the VAT is expected to increase by 2.4 times comparing to January 2020.

 “Such indicators are the best indication of how we are reforming and in which direction we are moving. To date, as a part of the single legal entity, we have received an optimized structure, which eliminates duplication of functions and unnecessary processes. There is a clear compliance mechanism from business registration to the system of tracking risks and the end result – payment to the budget.” – stated Oleksiy Lyubchenko.
