108 cases of sale of the counterfeit alcohol and tobacco were detected during a week

State Tax Service of Ukraine jointly with the SFS, local self-governments and еру law enforcement agencies is actively working on the excisable product market to detect and stop illegal sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco products.

108 cases of sale of the counterfeit alcohol and tobacco products by individuals without taxpayer’s registration and without excise tax stamps were detected in places not specified for this purpose.

As a result, 3380 liters of ethyl alcohol, 4629 liters of alcohol beverages and 27586 packs of tobacco products with a total cost of 3.3 million UAH were seized.

For example, in Kremenchuk city was exposed a resident who bought 3000 liters of illegally produced alcohol beverages via the Internet, which he intended to sell to the population for personal enrichment. The specified man kept these drinks in a rented garage but did not manage to sell them, so products were confiscated by the tax authorities during the documentation of violation. Cost of seized products is 540 thousand UAH.

Checkout of the trade facility located on the territory of “Krytyi” market and storage of the counterfeit tobacco products without excise tax stamps was carried out in Zaporizhzhia region. Tobacco products in the amount of 6.1 thousand packs for a total of 366 thousand UAH were seized from turnover. Business entity will face sanctions in the amount of 366 thousand UAH for storage of tobacco products in places not included in the Unified register of storage places.

Activity of the clandestine craft-shop for illegal production of alcohol beverages, which operated in the garage and private households, was terminated in Dnipropetrovsk region. Ethyl alcohol in the amount of 3380 liters for 777.4 thousand UAH and alcohol beverages in the amount of 790 liters for 142.2 thousand UAH were seized from the illicit turnover.

Alcohol beverages were bottled and packaged in the plastic containers without any logos with a capacity of 5 liters, 2 liters, 1 liter, 0.5 liter cardboard boxes (Bag in box) with a capacity of 10 liters.

Sale of the counterfeit alcohol beverages was carried out through the retail network and via the Internet.
