Tax specialist exposed tax evasion scheme totaling more than 24 million UAHChapter: News

Tax specialists of Odessa region exposed tax evasion scheme, as a result of which taxes totaling more than 24 million UAH were not paid.

Specialists of the Anti-money laundering department of Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region detected that business entity involved in the construction of roads and highways at the state expense did not reflect the receipt of budgetary funds as a part of VAT liabilities. Such actions of the specified business entity caused losses to the state budget in terms of the non-payment of value added tax totaling more than 24 million UAH.

Consideration of materials resulted in registration of criminal proceeding under Part 3 Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigation is ongoing.
