Oleksiy Lyubchenko: STS processed more than 7 billion electronic documents in 2020

As a result of joint work of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the State Tax Service, from now on the tax services will be available to individuals on two platforms – in the Taxpayer’s Electronic Cabinet and on the Portal “Diya”. This was stated by Chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Oleksiy Lyubchenko during a joint briefing with the Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.

Chairman of the STS emphasized that citizens are free to choose the most convenient format for their communication with government agencies.

“Tax service in 2021 is a paperless service with 100 percent of online services. After all, a key to the development of digital economy is a comprehensive digital transformation of the state. And the digitalized State Tax Service is a part of digital state” – stated Oleksiy Lyubchenko.

STS received and processed more than 7 billion electronic documents in 2020. Almost 99% of services have already been digitized and their number is constantly growing. And the number of administrative services increased from 96 to 126 in 2020. Taxpayer Service Centers provided 4.7 million services. Another 900 thousand services were provided by Contact Center of the STS.

Currently, electronic services of the STS are actively used by almost 3.0 million payers, most of whom are individuals – entrepreneurs and citizens (80%).

“We see the need to optimize processes in taxation system with further development of online services. Therefore, one of our priorities is to integrate with the Portal “Diya” which is the portal that really provides transparency, simplicity and convenience of providing public services to citizens and business online” – emphasized Oleksiy Lyubchenko. 

According to him, a common goal of the State Tax Service and the Ministry of Finance is to implement digital transformation projects in taxation system, with the help of which it is as convenient and simple as possible to administer and pay taxes.

“I am confident in the successful implementation of all our joint projects. And we will all see together how the introduction of electronic services will help to achieve compliance in relationship between the government and business” – specified Oleksiy Lyubchenko.
