Oleksiy Lyubchenko: According to results of the first quarter, the VAT revenues are 1.5 times higher than last year

Budget additionally received 18 billion UAH in the first quarter of 2021. Such results were achieved in the actual absence of economic growth. This was stated by Chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Oleksiy Lyubchenko during a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to him, such indicator is a business reaction to the creation of transparent, fair and competitive business conditions. Legal business pay more taxes because they gain more market share through the un-shadowing.

“Everyone has heard of the VAT “scrolls”. But in the first quarter of 2021, we have the VAT by 1.5 times more in the treasury account than last year. And this is not the limit. I do not consider it a success, because there is still a lot of work ahead. Especially when we understand that only 40% of consumer spending goes through a fiscal check, meanwhile 60% of consumption is not controlled by the state. And this is one of the main reserves of budget revenues, if not the main one” – emphasized Oleksiy Lyubchenko.
