STS auditors conducted 186 actual audits of gas stations with further accrual of financial sanctions totaling 83.4 million UAH

Reduction of moratorium on the certain audit types allowed resuming control and verification work in terms of planned control. 335 documentary scheduled audits were organized and 77 such audits were completed in March 2021.

In addition, the Tax audit departments of the STS’s territorial bodies conducted more than 5 thousand actual audits of business entities selling excisable products in January – March 2021 (including 2048 audits in March). According to the audit materials, fines (financial) sanctions totaling 190.4 million UAH were applied, of which 104.6 million UAH particularly in March2021.

Specifically, 186 actual audits of gas stations were conducted in March2021 with further accrual of applicable fines (financial) sanctions totaling 83.4 million UAH. Also, was initiated a seizure of 237.3 thousand liters of fuel for the total amount of 5311.0 thousand UAH.

Operation of 10 gas stations was terminated and 40 units of equipment were seized for a total amount of 4 840.0 thousand UAH as a result of control and verification measures.

The main violations committed by the audited business entities are:

sale of unaccounted excisable products;

non-settlement through registrars of calculated (settlement) operations;

sale of excisable products without obtaining appropriate licenses;

lack of registration in the Unified state register of flow and level meters;

storage of fuel in a place for which license for the fuel storage has not been obtained (exclusively for the own consumption needs or industrial processing).
