Local budgets have received more than 182 million UAH of the real estate tax since the beginning of year

According to the operative data, individuals – owners of the real estate received about 360 thousand generated tax notifications-decisions on the real estate other than land tax in the current year, which is 14 thousand more than in the same period last year.

Tax totaling more than 657 million UAH has been determined for payment, which is 112 million UAH more than in the same period last year.

The biggest amounts of tax accruals are accounted for by the Main Directorate of the STS in Kharkiv region, namely 81 million UAH, Kyiv region – 80 million UAH, Dnipropetrovsk region –78 million UAH and Kyiv city – 106 million UAH.

Real estate owners have already paid more than 182 million UAH of the real estate tax to local budgets.

It should be noted that this year the real estate tax payers pay it for year 2020 at rates that were legally determined for that period.

Tax is charged on the total area of residential and non-residential real estate, including their shares. Tax rates were set by decisions of local councils.

Herewith, the preferential size of property area on which the tax is not charged, make:

for an apartment / apartments, regardless of their number – 60 square meters;

for a residential house / houses, regardless of their number – 120 square meters;

for different types of residential real estate, including their shares (in the case of simultaneous taxpayer’s ownership of apartment / apartments and residential house / houses, including their shares) – 180 square meters.

Real estate tax liability is paid by individuals within 60 days from the date of delivery of tax notification-decision.
