503.2 million UAH of financial sanctions were additionally accrued for violations in the trade of alcohol and tobacco productsChapter: News

6461 actual audits of economic entities involved in the wholesale / retail trade of alcohol beverages and tobacco products were conducted by territorial divisions of the State Tax Service during 2021. According to the audit results, financial sanctions (fines) in the amount of 503.2 million UAH were applied.1674 individuals were brought to administrative responsibility. Also 1299 licenses were revoked and 10 clandestine productions of excisable products were revealed. In 82 cases the seizure of counterfeit products in the amount of 104.3 million UAH was initiated.

To stop illegal activities in the fuel trade and ensure transparency of economic operations in the fuel market during the current year, territorial divisions of the State Tax Service conducted 1543 actual audits of gas stations, which resulted in financial sanctions (fines) amounting to nearly 566.5 million UAH. Seizure was initiated for 597.8 thousand liters of fuel for a total amount of 15.6 million UAH (26 gas stations were closed), as well as seizure of 90 units of equipment with a help of which illegal trade of fuel for a total amount of 8.3 million UAH.  

In total, about 800 officials conduct actual audits of taxpayers who carry out wholesale and retail trade of excisable products in Ukraine as a whole.

Actual audits of such economic entities are conducted in the presence of risks and grounds provided for in Paragraph 80.2 Article 80 of the Tax Code of Ukraine, specifically in case of risks detection during the analysis of reporting data of economic entities and information from citizens (buyers / consumers).
