Implementation of new digitization projects was discussed at the STS

Main achievements of the State Tax Service in the IT sphere were discussed during a meeting of its leadership and the EU4PFM project.
Event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the STS Natalia Ruban, Deputy Chairmen of the STS Natalia Kalenichenko, Mykhail Titarchuk, Public Finance Management Sector of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Ekaterina Yakovleva, International Short-Term Tax Expert Paulus Mayauskas, the EU4PFM IT expert Koit Pausag, donor support coordinator Alyona Gurkivska and others.
Participants analyzed current state of digitalization of the service, discussed projects that are already in place and being developed by the STS.
STS is actively involved in the global digitization project, which is being implemented within the framework of National Informatization Program. It includes three major STS’s projects in the “Financial” sphere: “E-taxes”, “E-Excise” and “E-RRO”.
According to representatives of the STS, such services will bring to the new level processes of tax administration through automation and implementation of digital development measures and will ensure creation of an effective mechanism for controlling the turnover of excisable products, etc.
In turn, participants of the EU4PFM project noted introduction of the tax services platform on the portal “Diya”. From now on, the STS’s services will be available to individuals on two platforms – in the Taxpayer’s Electronic Cabinet on the portal “Diya”. This gives citizens opportunity to choose the most convenient format for their communication with the government agencies.
Representatives of the STS also informed about results of implementation of the software RRO, which has been operating for nine months. During this time, its functionality is constantly being improved in order to make it as user-friendly as possible. As of the 26th of April, 2021 the number of 16.6 thousand business entities use 85.6 thousand software RROs, which transferred 235.2 million documents to the STS.
Currently, the STS is working on its Web version and a version for iOS devices.
Representatives of the EU4PFM project noted high potential of the STS and its readiness to implement the latest developments and electronic services for payers. For its part, the EU4PFM project informed about the readiness to conduct all planned procurements in the near future in order to support IT projects of the STS.
