Plans for further cooperation with the Swedish Tax Agency in a framework of the METS project were discussed at the STS

Working meeting between Director of the STS’s HR Management Department Larysa Yashchuk and its employees with the Swedish Tax Agency experts – the long-term project expert Arne Jacobsson, development, leadership and management experts Anika Wingler, Ula Britt Johansson and Helena do Far was held within a framework of “Swedish-Ukrainian Partnership for Modern and Efficient Tax Service – the METS”.

Participants discussed plans for cooperation in 2021, which, in particular, will include joint activities to develop leadership, encourage leaders and agents of change, formation of a value system aimed at achieving mission of the STS and its strategic goals.

Specifically, importance of seminars on leadership issues and training of future trainers from the HR Department was emphasized.

STS thanked experts of the METS project, whose recommendations and methods help professional development of the STS’s employees.

In turn, experts of the Swedish Tax Agency expressed their readiness for further cooperation.

Evidence of this is appeal of the Director General of the Swedish Tax Agency Catherine Westling Palm to Chairman of the STS Oleksiy Lyubchenko, in which it was noted about established cooperation on the METS capacity development project.

“"I understand that Ukraine has a large-scale Public Financial Management Strategy reform strategy and I am extremely pleased that you have chosen to work with the Swedish Tax Agency to implement this reform. I look forward to future opportunities for cooperation for the mutual benefit of our countries” – the appeal stated.
