Share of big business in the export-import operations exceeds 70 percent

State Tax Service of Ukraine has summed up results of the export-import operations for the 1^st quarter of 2021.Total amount of export operations in the 1^st quarter of 2021 amounted to 342 billion UAH; amount of import operations amounted to 263 billion UAH.

Positive dynamics of the export operations in the 1^st quarter of 2021 was observed, particularly in a supply of goods to markets of the European Union, Asia and the United States. At the same time, there was a reduction in the volume of export operations for deliveries to African countries.

Structure of the export operations by product groups was as follows:

base metals and products thereof ≈ 21%;

products of plant origin ≈ 18%;

mineral products ≈ 15%;

fats and oils of vegetable or animal origin ≈ 13%;

machines, equipment and mechanisms, electrical equipment ≈ 9%;

others ≈ 24%.

At the end of the 1^st quarter of 2021, the growth rate of import operations exceeded export rates. There was an increase in import from the European Union, Asia and the United States during January – March 2021. At the same time, there was a reduction in the volume of export operations for deliveries to Africa and Russian Federation.

Commodity structure of the import operations:

machines, equipment and mechanisms, electrical equipment ≈ 19%;

mineral products ≈ 18%;

products of chemical and related industries ≈ 14%;

land vehicles, aircraft, floating vehicles ≈ 10%;

polymeric materials, plastics and articles thereof ≈ 7%.

others ≈ 32%.

Volumes of the export operations carried out by large taxpayers amounted to 247 billion UAH or 72%, while volumes of the import operations – 196 billion UAH or 74% of the total.

In terms of enterprises registered in the Interregional Directorates for Work with Large Taxpayers, volumes of the export-import operations are:

- Central Interregional Directorate:

export – 58.4 billion UAH,

import – 129.2 billion UAH;

- Eastern Interregional Directorate:

export – 120.5 billion UAH,

import – 32.2 billion UAH;

- Western Interregional Directorate:

export – 12.3 billion UAH,

import – 13.2 billion UAH;

- Southern Interregional Directorate:

export – 29.3 billion UAH,

import – 8.1 billion UAH;

- Northern Interregional Directorate:

export – 26.9 billion UAH,

import – 14 billion UAH.
