Almost 8.5 thousand citizens declared incomes totaling more than 1 million UAH

8451 citizens declared income totaling more than 1 million UAH according to preliminary results of the Declaration campaign 2021. Their number has increased by 6 percent compared to last year. Resident of Kyiv city declared income in the amount of more than 1 billion UAH.

Traditionally, the biggest number of millionaires is registered in Kyiv city (3375 citizens), Dnipropetrovsk (684 citizens), Kharkiv (595 citizens) and Kyiv (540 citizens) regions.

In total, the millionaires declared income in the amount of 70.4 billion UAH and determined to pay personal income tax in the amount of 1.6 billion UAH, military levy – 0.2 billion UAH.

The biggest amount payable to the budget was determined by a resident of Kyiv city from income received outside Ukraine, namely almost 80 million UAH, including the personal income tax in the amount of 66.5 million UAH and military levy – 11.1 million UAH.

Tax liabilities payable to the budget in the amount of more than 20.0 million UAH for 2020 were determined by 12 citizens for a total amount of 418.0 million UAH or 15 percent of the total amount of tax liabilities (including the biggest amount). Territoriality, a half of such citizens are registered in Kyiv city, per two citizens each in Odesa and Kyiv regions and per one citizen each in Kharkiv and Lviv regions.

In general according to current data in 2021, the total income received during 2020 was declared by almost 472 thousand citizens, which is at the last year’s level.

Residents of Zaporizhia (almost 51 thousand declarations), Dnipropetrovsk (almost 40 thousand declarations) and Kherson (more than 37 thousand declarations) regions were the most active in declaring income.

According to results of 2020, citizens have determined payable tax liabilities to the budget totaling 2.5 billion UAH of the personal income tax and 360.1 million UAH of the military levy.

This is almost at the last year’s level, despite difficult situation in 2020. But, as of the last day for submission of declaration in 2020 (namely, June 30, 2020), the personal income tax determined as payable amounted to almost 2.7 billion UAH, military levy – to 379.0 million UAH.

Please note that for individuals who wish to obtain a tax rebate, according to results of 2020, the Declaration campaign is not completed and such citizens have right to submit declarations by 31.12.2021 (inclusively). It is suggested not to waste time and to submit declaration in advance, particularly using a simplified submission procedure through the electronic service “Property and income declaration” in the private part of the taxpayer’s Electronic Cabinet.

Almost 62 thousand citizens obtained a tax rebate and 190.6 million UAH was declared for budgetary reimbursement.
