Yevhen Oleinikov: Everything that depends on the STS for functioning of the civilized land market will be provided

Introduction of the civilized land market is an un-shadowing of operations and public relations in this area, –  emphasized acting Chairman of the STS Yevhen Oleinikov during a press conference dedicated to the launch of the land market.

According to him, the land market in Ukraine existed before but unofficially. Operations on the sale / purchase of land, lease or pledge were carried out in a “shadow”, as follows taxes were not paid. Society did not receive its fair share from the use of its property, which amounted to billions UAH annually.

Existence of the “shadow sector” in any sphere of economy is unacceptable for the state, so adoption of legislative decisions that contribute to the un-shadowing of operations in the land market is important, balanced and necessary step.

“In connection with launch of the land market, the STS, through its system of the Taxpayer Service Centers and with a help of all available resources, is ready to provide quality advice to every citizen who will have questions about taxation of land operations.” – assured Yevhen Oleinikov.

He also stated that along with the function of servicing taxpayers, the STS also has a control function for those who do not want to contribute their fair share to society for common needs.

Therefore, interaction of the STS, Ministry of Agrarian Policy, State Geocadastre and the law enforcement agencies acquires a new quality, which will be a basis for paying attention to each land operation. After all, the land tax is a tax for the budget of local communities.

“Legal land market is opportunity to pay taxes, to be honest not only with yourself but also with your neighbors, doctors and teachers – your compatriots” – emphasized Yevhen Oleinikov.
