Possession of property of the state-owned enterprise during export operations was exposed

Specialists of the Anti-money laundering department of Main Directorate of the STS in Mykolaiv region jointly with the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation exposed possession of property of the state-owned enterprise with its subsequent legalization and export operations.

It was established that officials of the state-owned enterprise, by prior agreement with officials of another economic entity, extracted granite blocks which were sold under the guise of illiquid products at reduced price of 300 times. Losses to the state-owned enterprise amounted to more than 2 million UAH. Subsequently, the specified officials legalized illegally obtained granite blocks by putting them into turnover and carrying out export operations.

Currently, there are ongoing further investigative actions within a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceeding under Part 2 Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
