Interview of acting Chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Yevhen Oleinikov to «Pershyy Dilovyy» TV Channel

Acting Chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Yevhen Oleinikov in the program “Pidsumky dnya” told how the tax amnesty is progressing: “In a week and a half we already have declarations in which people declare their income. We are currently in the recognition process regarding payment of taxes, that is, in the future, if one of my colleagues will come and ask where the funds came from, it is simply possible to refer to the declaration”.

He pointed out factors on which the success of tax amnesty depends: “We must ensure that we check only correctness of filling in the declaration itself. During the year, while tax amnesty is valid, the declaration can be submitted repeatedly. Submitted declaration replaces the previous one and what the one paid remains paid”.

Yevhen Oleinikov emphasized that the State Tax Service does not check declarations and has no right to check legality of received funds: “Signature, which is placed during filling in a special questionnaire in the bank during the one-time declaration procedure, is a confirmation that the funds were acquired legally”.
