Yevhen Oleinikov: systematic communication with business is important for the STSChapter: News

State Tax Service of Ukraine is interested in prompt communication with business. That is why such interaction tool as the Communication Tax Platform allows taxpayers to resolve problematic issues in dialogue with the STS. This was stated by acting Chairman of the STS Yevhen Oleinikov during a meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (ACC).

“We continue policy of openness and transparency in our activities. That is why the emphasis is on communication with business, because if information is got in time, it is possible to quickly resolve issues. It is easier to solve a problem at the time of its occurrence than to disassemble its consequences” – stated Yevhen Oleinikov.

Participants considered issue of the VAT refunding. In particular, according to acting Chairman of the STS, as of today this procedure is transparent and payers receive funds on time, audits are conducted only if the system detects suspicious operations reality of which needs to be confirmed.

“We conduct audits only in cases when it is necessary to make sure that the data of tax invoices in tax declarations correspond to the actual state of affairs. STS cannot and will not ignore the tax evasion risks. We try to resolve controversial issues due to the communication tools, considering payer’s argumentations and analyze all the details” – emphasized Yevhen Oleinikov.

During the meeting, participants also discussed the cross-check audits, legislative changes in the administration of taxes, levies, charges, etc.
