Tax audit: almost 58 thousand audits were conducted, 59.2 billion UAH – additionally accrued

Legislative changes regarding partial removal of restrictions on audits, introduced by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers as of 03.02.2021 № 89, allowed to resume control and audit work of tax audit units in certain areas and grounds.

Almost 58 thousand audits were conducted in 10 months of 2021. Of these, 2.3 thousand audits were scheduled, 34.8 thousand – unscheduled and 20.8 thousand – actual audits. This is almost twice as much as in the corresponding period of 2020 (30.2 thousand).

59.2 billion UAH was additionally accrued according to the audit results during specified period. Of this amount, surcharges on scheduled audits amounted to 50 billion UAH. The biggest accruals were applied to taxpayers in the fuel and energy sector, namely 38 billion UAH, wholesale and retail trade – 5 billion UAH, processing industry – 4 billion UAH.

Auditors’ efforts are aimed at quality working off risky payers.
