Tetiana Kirienko and representatives of the US Treasury Department’s Technical Assistance Office discussed implementation of joint projects

State Tax Service continues to work on the implementation of measures that improve tax administration processes, and in this context, cooperation with international partners is now very relevant and important. This was stated by acting Chairman of the State Tax Service Tetiana Kirienko during meeting with representatives of the US Treasury Department’s Technical Assistance Office.

American experts presented Technical project, which provides advice and assistance on certain segments of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

“Mission of the Service today is to provide maximum support to business – honest taxpayers and at the same time to ensure critical for the country filling of the budget, timeliness and completeness of tax payments. State Tax Service fully supports suggested measures that will help improve our work. Therefore, we expect developments and recommendations from American partners” – emphasized Tetiana Kirienko.

She also noted effective cooperation of the State Tax Service with the US Treasury Department’s Technical Assistance Office which has always been systematic in various development aspects of the State Tax Service with a high-quality practical component.

In turn, American experts expressed readiness for further cooperation and advisory assistance for the State Tax Service that will help Ukrainian taxpayers in achieving certain strategic goals. In particular, the Technical project will provide recommendations on international best practices in resuming tax debt collection and post-war control and verification activities.

Acting Chairman of the State Tax Service Tetiana Kirienko thanked the international partners for supporting both Ukraine in this difficult time and the State Tax Service of Ukraine, which allows to continue implementation of tax reforms and joint projects to improve work of the Service.
