State Tax Service conducted 309 actual audits of business entities involved in the retail fuel saleChapter: News

In order to stop illegal activities in the sale of fuel and lubricants and ensure transparency of economic activities in the fuel market and prevent tax evasion, the State Tax Service on a permanent basis including during martial law in the country monitors business entities involved in the retail fuel sale.

309 actual audits of taxpayers were conducted regarding the fuel turnover in order to prevent and detect legislative violations in January – May 2022.

According to the actual audit results, fines (financial sanctions) totaling more than 50 million UAH were applied to business entities and are expected.

In addition, based on the results of control and audit measures, employees of territorial departments of actual audits initiated seizure of 6.4 thousand liters of fuel from illegal turnover for a total amount of 115.3 thousand UAH.

For example in May 2022, during the actual audit of a gas station of one business entity involved in the retail sale of fuel, the sale of 282.5 thousand liters of fuel was recorded and not accounted for in the prescribed manner at the place of sale and storage. Such actions violated Paragraph 12 Article 3 of the Law of Ukraine as of 06.07.1995 № 265/95-VR "On the use of registrars of settlement operations in trade, public catering and services".

Total amount of fines (financial sanctions) according to actual audit materials of a gas station is more than 11 million UAH.
