Revenues to local budgets are increasing according to the actual audit results

State Tax Service of Ukraine has introduced exclusively risk-oriented mechanisms for organizing and conducting actual audits.

Tax audit territorial divisions focused their control and verification work on business entities that received licenses for the retail sale of tobacco products and at the same time declared insignificant volumes of settlement transactions through the RRO for actual distribution between territorial communities of the excise tax on the sale of tobacco products, tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes, liquids used in electronic cigarettes by retail business entities.

As a result of consistent work, the number of territorial communities and settlements that receive excise tax revenues from the sale of tobacco products by retail business entities to their respective budgets increased from 6.9 thousand to 7.9 thousand UAH in May – July 2022.

In addition, the volume of sold tobacco products, taking into account the RRO data as a whole in Ukraine in May – July 2022, has almost doubled from 3.6 billion UAH to 6.7 billion UAH.
