Tetiana Kirienko and Bekir Bayrakdar identified exchange areas of tax experience

Areas of cooperation within the framework of implementation of the Memorandum of understanding on technical cooperation and areas of experience exchange interesting for both sides were discussed during the meeting of acting Chairman of the State tax Service Tetiana Kirienko and Head of Revenue Administration of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Turkey Bekir Bayrakdar.

“State Tax Service, despite difficult times, continues to improve its work. We are interested not only in our interaction with Turkish colleagues within the framework of signed Memorandum, but also in establishing contacts at level of our specialists to share useful experience that will contribute to development and strengthening of both departments” – emphasized Tetiana Kirienko.

According to her, working experience of specialists of two departments in various segments of tax sphere, in particular, tax audit, taxpayers’ service, tax risk management, tax compliance, will allow to analyze administration procedures and, if necessary, to improve them taking into account recommendations of foreign partners.

Bekir Bayrakdar, in his turn, spoke about the main emphasis in work of the Revenue Administration of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Turkey, noting readiness to exchange information and practices with the Ukrainian side.

Tetiana Kirienko specifically noted that experience of Turkey in work of the EU Program "Fiscalis", which Ukraine joined in September, will be interesting for the State Tax Service. This will help to clearly define priorities and take into account important aspects during its implementation. Parties, based on the meeting results, agreed to hold working meetings at level of specialists of departments within the defined directions.
