Representatives of the State Tax Service took part in seminar on the international taxation standardsChapter: News

International taxation standards and elimination of double taxation of individuals were considered today during first session of the training course with participation of experts from Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, representatives of the State Tax Service and Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

Participants got acquainted with international practices regarding income taxation of individuals, analyzed tax legislation of Ukraine and other countries in terms of determining taxation sources and algorithms for application of international agreements.

Considering situation in country and number of Ukrainian citizens who, due to the war, are forced to stay in other countries and receive income there, elimination of double taxation has become important issue. Participants reviewed international conventions on the avoidance of double taxation of income and property, procedure for applying international treaties, taxes to which they apply, etc.
