Representatives of the State Tax Service took part in the tax debt collection trainingChapter: News

With assistance of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, representatives of the State Tax Service took part in the training session on an intensive program of capacity building on the tax debt collection, organized as a part of execution of the Work Plan for 2022-2023 by the US Ministry of Finance (Treasury) (Office of Technical Assistance).

Purpose of this event was to improve skills of the tax debt enforcement officers (to curb growth of the non-compliance with the law and to help taxpayers cope with pressures that cause crises). Trainings included both conceptual presentations and practical cases.

To achieve the specified goal, experience of tax authorities of other countries that have experienced large-scale crises is studied. In addition, published ideas from academic circles and international organizations, including the IMF, World Bank and the EU, are considered.

It is important to note that Office of Technical Assistance has also been asked to develop common concept of operations (CONOPS) that will define desired future state of tax debt management of the State Tax Service.

Cooperation with Office of Technical Assistance is extremely important for the State Tax Service, as its activities in taxation sphere are focused, including, on such areas as development of recommendations for work with tax debt, especially its collection.
