Representatives of the State Tax Service took part in seminar on practical aspects of the international exchange of tax information Chapter: News

Cooperation between tax authorities of different countries through the information exchange became topic of seminar "Practical aspects of the tax information exchange (EOIR, SEOI, AEOI)", in which representatives of the State Tax Service and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine took part.

Information exchange between tax authorities strengthens cooperation between countries in the counteraction against tax evasion and money laundering, contributes to development of analytical capacity of tax authorities and increased access to information, strengthens tax compliance, ensuring equal treatment of all taxpayers and accountability for violations of tax legislation.

International expert of the EU4PFM Project Ivan Antonov spoke about peculiarities of building processes in the tax administration of Bulgaria in the tax information exchange on request (EOIR), their automation and also demonstrated operation of existing IT solutions in practice.

Expert also presented practice of storing information received as a part of the exchange upon request and automatic exchange of tax information, ensuring confidentiality and specifics of using received data.

Participants, during event, discussed next steps of the competent authority after signing the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (CRS MCAA).

Presentation of practical experience of one of the EU countries will contribute to the improvement of existing processes in the information exchange upon request and qualitative construction of new ones related to the introduction of automatic exchange of tax information on financial account, in particular, as a future EU member state.
