Tax audit units pay due attention to combating illegal turnover of excise productsChapter: News
Tax audit units of the State Tax Service on a permanent basis conduct active tax control measures in terms of combating illegal turnover of excise products on the territory of Ukraine.
Only during June 2023, with assistance of employees of the Actual audit departments of territorial tax audit units of the State Tax Service in regions and Kyiv city, the withdrawal of excise products worth about 3 million UAH from illegal turnover was initiated.
During the actual audit of economic object on the territory of Kyiv region in June 2023, employees of the Actual audit department of the Tax audit unit of Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Kyiv region, together with employees of the National Police of Ukraine, liquidated illegal activity of business entity that carried out sale of excisable products not accounted for according to procedure established by the law, including without relevant licenses, in particular, tobacco products without excise tax stamps marked "DUTY FREE" and alcoholic beverages were withdrawn from illegal turnover in considerable amount.
As a result of such illegal activity, administrative offense protocols have been compiled against the entrepreneur under Part 1 of Article 1551, Part 1 of Article 156 and Part 1of Article 164 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and a significant amount of fine (financial sanctions) is expected.
Also, in June 2023, during the study of tax risks related to the illegal turnover of excise products in the territory of Zhytomyr region, employees of the Actual audit department of Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Zhytomyr region, together with employees of the National Police of Ukraine, stopped illegal activity of an individual who organized sale of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and carried out business activities without state registration in the absence of registrar of settlement operations and relevant licenses.
As a result of such illegal activity, administrative offense protocols have been compiled against the offender under Articles 156 and 164 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and almost 220 liters of alcoholic beverages and several dozen packs of tobacco products of unknown origin were seized.
State Tax Service warns individuals and other business entities about the inadmissibility of illegal economic activity, including with excisable products.
In order to promptly respond to illegal economic activity (sale without state registration, without the RRO use, without presence of relevant licenses, etc.), the State Tax Service offers citizens to inform about such cases in the "StopViolationBot" chatbot of the "Telegram" messenger.
